CONSULTANCY OPPORTUNIY WITH THE ZAMBIA CIVIC EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (ZCEA)
INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTERESTFOR SUITABLY QUALIFIED CONSULTANTS TO DEVELOP A RESOURCE MOBILISATION STRATEGY
Terms of Reference
1. Background
Zambia Civic Education Association (ZCEA) is human rights non-governmental, not for profit organization that promotes and protects children’s rights through advocacy and civic education for the children’s wellbeing. Its vision is to have a society in which all people enjoy fundamental human rights, justice and human dignity prevail.
In order to secure the long-term sustainability of the organization, ZCEA is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced consultant in the development of resource mobilization strategies for local nonprofit non-governmental organisations to undertake this consultancy. The strategy needs to take into account the current ZCEA resources status, the local non-governmental not for profit resources landscape and opportunities available for the Association to strengthen its resource base.
2. Purpose of the Consultancy
ZCEA seeks a consultant to develop a resource mobilization strategy and plan to foster the long-term sustainability of the Association.
3. Expected Deliverables
i. An inception report.
ii. A comprehensive resource mobilization strategy and plan.
4. Duration
The Consultant shall conduct the assignment within thirty (30) days period after signing a contract with ZCEA.
5. Required Qualifications
The consultant will be selected on the basis of their proven experience, qualifications and ability to deliver a quality product in a timely and efficient manner. Minimum qualifications and experience of the person/firm includes:
1. Minimum master’s degree in business development or equivalent.
2. Demonstrable previous client assignments.
3. Demonstrable experience in supporting NGOs development and implementation of effective resource mobilization strategies and plans
6. Lines of Communication
The Consultant will report and work closely with the Executive Director.
7. REQUIREMENTS OF EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Interested applicants should submit the following documents:
i. Letter of expression of Interest
ii. Technical and financial proposals
iii. CV of the key technical person
iv. References indicating past experience (including scope and magnitude) in similar assignments should also be included.
The Financial proposals shall include all applicable taxes. If taxes are not mentioned in the financial proposal, ZCEA shall consider that they are included in the costs provided.
8. Submission Details
Submissions should be sent to the Executive Director at: judithm@zamcivic.com.zm copying in accounts@zamcivic.com.zm by close of business on Friday 13th August 2021.
The Subject of the email should read “CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR RESOURCE MOBILIZATION STRATEGY”.
