Job Purpose:
To assist the plumber install, maintain, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, water distribution, and sanitation systems.
Job Duties:
a) Reading blueprints and drawings to determine the layout of the water supply network, waste and drainage system, and plumbing systems
b) Assist with Installing pipes and fixtures, such as sinks, toilets and water heaters (geyser)
c) Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
d) Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
e) Test pipe systems and fix leaks
f) Digging trenches for laying of water supply and waste pipes.
